Process of Mounting the Curtain Rods

The curtain rods should be installed properly before the windows are dressed up with lovely curtains. It is important to know how to install the rods appropriately so that the curtains remain intact and add to the beauty of the rooms.

Firstly, it is necessary to know if the curtain rods are to be fixed on the walls or the window casing. The brackets can be attached to the wooden casing of the windows if the curtain rods are to be fixed on the window casing. If the rods are to be fixed on the walls above the window, then hollow-wall anchors should be fixed on the walls.

The height of the wall or casing should be determined before affixing the curtain rod. This can be done by holding up the rod to the wall. The brackets should be placed 3-6 inches far from the corner of the windows. The brackets can be fixed according to individual preferences, depending on how you want to hang the curtains on the rods. Ensure that the rod is fixed in a straight level. This can be done with the help of a carpenter’s rod.

Use a pencil to mark the position of the brackets and the holes of the brackets with a light pencil. Holes can be drilled on these pencil marks with the help of a drilling machine. Insert the screws into the brackets and fix them to the walls. Finally connect the curtain rods into the brackets.
